AHMEDABAD, GUJARAT | 03rd SEPTEMBER 2026 | The inaugural Rotary Racquet League 1.0 (RRL 1.0), a first-of-its-kind district-level sporting tournament featuring Badminton and Table Tennis, was successfully organised at ARA, Sindhu Bhavan Road, Ahmedabad.
The tournament was hosted by Rotary Club of Ahmedabad Skyline Titans and supported by Rotary Club of Ahmedabad Skyline, with 12 Rotary Clubs joining as Co-Hosts:
Rotary Club of Ahmedabad Supreme, Rotary Club of Ahmedabad Heritage, Rotary Club of Ahmedabad Majesty, Rotary Club of Ahmedabad Skyline Capitals, Rotary Club of Ahmedabad Skyline Patron, Rotary Club of Ahmedabad Skyline Platinum, Rotary Club of Ahmedabad Skyline Jupiter, Rotary Club of Ahmedabad Skyline Tejasvini, Rotary Club of Kankaria, Rotary Club of Ahmedabad Royals, Rotary Club of Patan and Rotary Club of Ahmedabad Metro.
The event witnessed an impressive participation of 150+ players representing around 20 Rotary Clubs, with members and families joining from Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Patan, Deesa, Palanpur, Mehsana, Unjha and other places.
One of the most inspiring aspects of RRL 1.0 was its inclusiveness, with participants ranging from 11 years to 84 years of age, proving that enthusiasm for fitness, competition and fellowship has no age barrier.
District Governor Rtn. Naimish Ravani kicked off the tournament by taking to the badminton court along with Assistant Governor Rtn. Jatinder Bhalla, Rtn. Rajeev Gulati and Rtn. Pratik Patel, President of the host club, Rotary Club of Ahmedabad Skyline Titans.
All participants were recognised with Certificates of Participation, while winners across various categories were honoured with *Gold, Silver and Bronze medals.
A distinctive feature of the tournament was its *mixed-format play in several categories*, where many participants met their partners and fellow players only at the venue. This created an excellent opportunity for Rotarians from different clubs and cities to interact, develop new friendships and strengthen fellowship beyond their individual clubs.
