Gujarat, Somnath 02 March 2025: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday visited the Vantara animal rescue and rehabilitation centre in Jamnagar, and offered prayers at the famous Somnath temple.
The Prime Minister, who is on a three-day trip to Gujarat, arrived in Jamnagar on Saturday. A top official said PM Modi visited Vantara in the morning and then left for Somnath temple, located in Prabhas Patan, where he offered prayers to Lord Shiva. He then proceeded to Sasan in the neighbouring Junagadh district.
The Prime Minister is the chairperson of the Shree Somnath Trust, which manages the affairs of the temple — the first of the 12 Adi Jyotirlingas.
Vantara is an animal rescue and rehabilitation centre established by Reliance Industries and Reliance Foundation, according to the company.
