Jeena Sikho HIIMS organises free health camp in Ahmedabad as part of ‘Swasth Bharat’ Mission
AHMEDABAD, GUJARAT | 07th AUGUST 2026 | Renowned Ayurveda expert and Founder of Jeena Sikho HIIMS Acharya Manish on Friday said that evidence-based Ayurveda has the potential to prevent and effectively manage chronic lifestyle diseases, stressing that preventive healthcare must become the foundation of India’s healthcare system.
Addressing a press conference in Ahmedabad, Acharya Manish outlined the objectives of a free health camp being organised by Jeena Sikho HIIMS and shared his vision of building a ‘Swasth Bharat’ through Ayurveda-driven preventive healthcare.
He said the initiative aims to encourage people to adopt healthier lifestyles before diseases develop, thereby reducing the burden of chronic illnesses and dependence on expensive medical interventions.
Acharya Manish highlighted the growing scientific validation of Ayurvedic principles and said Jeena Sikho HIIMS has been consistently working to integrate traditional wisdom with modern research to offer holistic and evidence-based healthcare solutions.
“Our mission is to make preventive healthcare a people’s movement. Evidence-based Ayurveda has demonstrated its potential in preventing and managing lifestyle diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, obesity and other chronic disorders by addressing their root causes rather than merely treating symptoms,” he said.
He further said, “A truly Swasth Bharat can only be achieved when healthcare shifts from disease management to disease prevention. Through our free health camps, research initiatives and public awareness programmes, we are committed to making authentic Ayurveda accessible to every citizen.”
Acharya Manish also underlined the importance of scientific research, clinical documentation and public awareness in strengthening the credibility of Ayurveda and promoting its wider acceptance as a preventive healthcare system.
The free health camp which will go on till Aug 8 at Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Auditorium, Vastral RTO Road Near Ramol Ahmedabad, will offer consultations and guidance on preventive healthcare, healthy living and Ayurvedic wellness practices, reflecting Jeena Sikho HIIMS’ continued commitment to improving public health through evidence-based Ayurveda.
