Thus, Boba Bhai was born, a GenZ-focused food brand that would soon take the Indian market by storm. With its unique fusion of boba tea, burgers, and ice creams, Boba Bhai quickly won over the hearts of the youth. But for Dhruv, the goal wasn’t just to create a successful brand, he aimed to build a community united by their love for food, innovation, and entrepreneurship. Little did he know that his journey would soon lead him to the stage of Shark Tank India 4, where he would pitch his brand to some of the country’s most influential investors.
Launched in October 2023, Boba Bhai offers a unique blend of classic bubble tea flavors with an Indian twist, along with Korean-style burgers infused with local flavors. With over 40 outlets and a cloud kitchen in Bengaluru, the brand has been making waves.On Shark Tank India 4, Dhruv sought an investment of 50 lakh for just 0.3% equity in the business. The sharks were impressed after tasting his products, with Shark Anupam Mittal even mentioning that his daughter was a fan of the brand. However, Shark Aman raised concerns about the burgers, sparking a lively discussion about the brand’s offerings.
After negotiations, Sharks Viraj and Namita made an offer of 90 lakh for 1% equity, which Dhruv happily accepted. The deal was a strong validation of the brand’s potential and the Sharks’ confidence in its future.Talking about his experience, he said, “We’re not just a food brand; we’re a Gen Z-focused community that creates unique experiences.
