Gujarat, Ahmedabad 07 May 2025: Nova Wings IVF hospital to organise a Walkathon for World Thalassemia Awareness Day on May 8th at Sabarmati Riverfront. The aim of the walkathon is to create awareness about the rising incidence of Thalassemia in regions like Gujarat and the need for couples to test if they are thalassemia carriers before conceiving. The ‘Walkathon for Hope & Health’ will begin at 7:00 am at the Sabarmati Riverfront and will bring together patients, families, healthcare professionals, and members of the public. Later, medical experts will address the challenges in thalassemia care and highlight recent advancements in its management.
