World Abdominal Cancer Day: Surat covered 3 km. Walked ‘messages of staying healthy’

— International Multicity Walk held in 25 cities across the world with the appeal of being healthy and fit.

— Along with Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, events were also held in Oxford, London, Manchester and New York.

Surat, 19 May 2024: With the first rays of dawn, the people of Surat gave a message to the people across the world to stay fit. The occasion was International Multicity Awareness Walk on World Abdominal Cancer Day, in which thousands of people walked 3 km. Appealed to stay healthy and fit by taking a walk. This program held on Sunday was organized by the Abdominal Cancer Trust. On this occasion, Surat Ambassador of Awareness Walk Jayanti Shah and other dignitaries were also present.

If choice is healthy then life is safe –

On this occasion, Dr. Sandeep Jain, founder of Abdominal Cancer Trust and founder of Abdominal Cancer Day, said that how one dies is in one’s hands. If the choice is healthy then life can be made beautiful and safe. While making people aware, he said that in cases of abdominal cancer, only 20 out of 100 patients are cured. The reason is that most of them do not come for consultation for 3 to 18 months.

The 5th edition of ABCD was special –

On this occasion, Jai Shri Periwal said that this 5th edition of Abdominal Cancer Day has been really amazing. Making people aware about cancer through walk is quite a unique way. He advised people to be aware of abdominal cancer and constantly consult doctors. The chief guest of the program and well-known social worker Pandit Suresh Mishra thanked Dr. Jain for such efforts and awareness events and said that only with our collective efforts can we all together defeat abdominal cancer.

Awareness walk held in 25 cities around the world –

Mukesh Mishra said that on May 19, on the occasion of World Abdominal Cancer Day, an International Multicity Walk was organized for awareness in 25 different cities across the world. Thousands of people in Surat including Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Jaipur, Nagpur, Bhavnagar as well as in other cities including Oxford, London, Manchester and New York walked 3 km with the message of staying fit. Spread awareness among people about abdominal cancer while walking.
