GUJARAT, AHMEDABAD | 20th OCTOBER 2025: Vraj Film Production, which made its mark in Gujarat with the popular song “Madharo Darudo” from the film Hahakar, are ruling the hearts and minds of the people. The unique stories of Vraj Film Production along with the wonderful music presented in a different style are currently winning the hearts of the audience. The visionaries behind this concept are producers Sanjay Soni and Krupa Soni
Talking to both the producers, they said, “We often thought that if the youth of today also likes old songs that are popular, why don’t we do the same and include them in our film? With this idea, we came up with the idea of including an old folk song by Maniraj Barot like “Madharo Darudo” in our film “Hahakar” and set it with a new style and had it sung by Jignesh Kaviraj, who is very popular in Diora, and made an attempt by filming on him. This folk song was appreciated by the youth. The song started playing at parties, weddings etc. and people liked it.
Then in our second film “Jija Sala Jija” we also sang the same old song “Hokliyo,” filmed and released it with a famous singer like Rakesh Barot, which was liked by the people.
These songs set a new trend in the film industry and these days old songs have started coming in many Gujarati films Our upcoming film Misri, which is releasing on 31st October, will also feature the recreation of another superhit song, “Vinchhudo”, originally sung by the “Dayra King” Maniraj Barot. We are presenting it once again in a different style, and we hope that the audience will appreciate this too.
By recreating old Gujarati songs along with hit films, we have set a new trend in Gujarat. Whether it’s “Madhro Darudo” or “Hokliyo”, these songs are currently ruling the hearts of the people of Gujarat. Even during Navratri, these songs were trending and were played everywhere.
They said, “Even today, music lovers deeply enjoy old Gujarati folk songs. Whether in cities or in the remotest villages, people still play and listen to Maniraj Barot’s old Gujarati songs during events and gatherings. These old songs continue to touch our hearts and souls. However, today’s youngsters know very little about our classic Gujarati hits. So, to make them aware and let them enjoy these melodies, we started recreating them with a unique twist. We’ve specially presented the famous songs of Gujarat’s melodious singer, Maniraj Barot, in new versions sung by celebrated artists like Rakesh Barot and Jignesh Barot and the audience response has been overwhelmingly positive.”
