Gujarat, Ahmedabad 30th January 2025: Lakhs of devotees are gathering at Prayagraj daily to take the holy dip during the ongoing Maha Kumbh. More than five crore devotees gathered at the ghats for the holy dip on the occasion of Mauni Amavasya on Wednesday. The barricades established for crowd control were damaged because of the huge rush, which resulted in a stampede-like situation. According to reports, 30 devotees lost their lives in the incident and many others were injured, who are being provided treatment.
Renowned spiritual leader Morari Bapu has expressed deep sorrow over the incident and paid tributes to those who lost their lives in the tragic incident. Morari Bapu has dedicated a financial assistance of Rs. 15,000 to the families of the deceased. The total assistance of Rs. 4,50,000 would be delivered to the bereaved families after gathering their details from the authorities.
Morari Bapu has offered prayers before Lord Hanuman for the speedy recovery of the injured persons. He has also prayed for the Nirvana of the deceased persons.
