Renowned spiritual leader Morari Bapu has paid tributes to the soldiers who lost their lives in a road accident in Jammu and Kashmir’s Doda district.
At least ten soldiers were killed and 11 others injured after a bulletproof Army vehicle skidded off the road and plunged into a nearly 200-foot-deep gorge at Khanni Top on Thursday. The vehicle was heading for an operation when the accident occurred.
Expressing grief over the loss of lives, Morari Bapu announced financial assistance of Rs. 25,000 each for the families of the deceased soldiers. The total contribution of Rs. 2,50,000 lakh will be donated to the Army Welfare Fund. Morari Bapu has also dedicated assistance of Rs. 11,000 for the injured soldiers, amounting to Rs. 1,21,000.
Morari Bapu, who is currently delivering the Manas Sanatan Dharma Ramkatha in New Delhi, also offered prayers for the eternal peace of the departed souls and conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families.
