AHMEDABAD, GUJARAT | 05th MARCH 2026 — Renowned spiritual leader Morari Bapu has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic loss of lives in several accidents across Gujarat during the Dhuleti celebrations.
While people across the state were marking the festival with joy, a number of unfortunate incidents occurred at different places, resulting in the deaths of around 27 people.
According to available reports, three persons drowned in the Kim River near Surat, while in Aravalli district two children lost their lives after drowning in a pond. In the Metoda GIDC area near Rajkot, four persons died in a tragic incident.
Near Gondal, a promising young member of the Vaishnav Sadhu Samaj also lost his life in an accident. In addition, several other fatalities were reported in separate drowning incidents at various places in the state.
Morari Bapu has paid heartfelt tributes to those who lost their lives in these tragic events and extended his sincere condolences to the bereaved families.
As a gesture of compassion and support, Morari Bapu has announced financial assistance of Rs. 15,000 for each affected family. The total assistance, amounting to over Rs. 4 lakh, will be deposited in the Gujarat Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. The contribution will be facilitated by Ramkatha devotees in Mumbai.
Morari Bapu has prayed for the eternal peace of the departed souls and strength for the bereaved families to bear the loss.
