Gujarat, Ahmedabad 13 March 2025: In a remarkable tale of entrepreneurship and innovation, The Bear House, a D2C men’s fashion wear brand, has secured a deal on Shark Tank India 4. Founded by Harsh Somaiya and Tanvi Somaiya, the Bangalore-based brand has been making waves in the fashion industry with its adaptable sizing and European-inspired designs. Harsh, who entered the fashion industry in 2014, had established a factory with his uncle, producing for top brands. Tanvi, a NIFT graduate, joined Harsh to manage the brand and factory operations. Together, they conceptualized The Bear House in 2016.
On Shark Tank India 4, Harsh and Tanvi impressed the sharks with their product demonstration, highlighting the brand’s unique selling point: 420 GSM fabric. The sharks were particularly impressed with Tanvi’s dedication, as she had just given birth 25 days before and was already back to work. Aman Gupta was initially sceptical about their impressive sales numbers, finding them almost too good to be true. However, the founders reminded him that he had recently presented them with an award himself! After a series of negotiations, Namita Thapar sealed the deal, offering ₹1 crore for 1% equity, along with ₹2 crores in debt at a 10% interest rate for five years.
