Ahmedabad, July 18, 2024: Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), an Ahmedabad-based acknowledged national resource Institute for Entrepreneurship Education, Research, Training, Startups, Innovations and Institution Building, inducted the 2024-26 batch of 85 students from 14 states and 1 UT in the Post Graduate Diploma in Management – Entrepreneurship (PGDM-E) Programme. This is the 27th batch of PGDM-E.
Chief Guest for the induction ceremony was Dr. O.P. Goel, Advisor to CEO, National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), New Delhi & EDII Governing Board Member. Also present on the occasion were Dr. Sunil Shukla, Director General, EDII and Dr. Satya Ranjan Archarya, Chairperson, PGDM-E.
Addressing the students, Chief Guest Dr. Goel said, “Out of the countless number of youths in the country, only 8 % get a chance to pursue higher studies. So, you all are fortunate, and even so, because you all are at this premier entrepreneurship institute of the country. I wish everyone a great entrepreneurial journey and urge you to always remember seven entrepreneurial mantras, which are – embrace challenges; network and leverage the strengths and experiences of people around; seek mentorship and guidance; be a continuous learner; be resilient; take risks and develop adaptability.”
Dr. Sunil Shukla, advised the students to make the best of the entrepreneurial ecosystem on EDII campus. He said, “I am happy that you chose to pursue entrepreneurship. EDII’s curriculum is market-oriented and contemporary, which is why it is so relevant and impact-making. EDII’s has witnessed several success stories and I am sure, very soon you all will also join this brigade of achievers.”
Dr. Satya Ranjan Acharya briefed the students about the course and threw light on the growth that the programme had registered over 27 years in terms of increasing enrolments and high success rate.
AICTE approved & NBA accredited PGDM-E is a two-year, full-time programme designed specifically for entrepreneurs and entrepreneurial managers. It encourages critical and lateral thinking, nurtures ambitions, and enables new ventures through an academically rigorous, market-relevant, and highly application-oriented learning experience.
